Wonderful to welcome Marcel, the new Bürgermeister of our twin town Bergisch Gladbach, to Runnymede on Sunday!
Council Co-Leader Cllr Robert King led a tour of the stunning Royal Holloway, University of London campus before the group visited the historic Magna Carta memorial site — a brilliant chance to show our twin town’s new Mayor what makes Runnymede so special.
Thanks to Dennis Brown, Angela Behrend, and our Mayor Cllr Margaret Harnden from the Runnymede Town Twinning Association for organising the visit. Great to have deputy Mayor elect Cllr Cai Parry and past Mayor Cllr Elaine Gill along too.
