The bread and butter of a councillor’s work is getting roads and pavements fixed. Through lobbying, campaigning and securing match funding, we’ve been delivering resurfacing schemes across Egham — and there’s more to come.
Cooper Close — complete
Coopers Close has recently been resurfaced, thanks to match funding we secured. It’s another scheme delivered for residents, and we’re not stopping there.
Egham Bypass footpath — in progress
Work on the Egham Bypass footpath is currently underway. We’ll update residents once the scheme is complete.
Pooley Green Road — coming between June and October
Pooley Green Road has been resurfaced at the western end. The eastern part is coming this year, between June and October.
Church Road — scheduled May to October
Church Road is confirmed for resurfacing between May and October. We’re awaiting a specific start date from Surrey Highways and will share more detail as soon as it’s confirmed.
The Glanty Roundabout — scheduled June
After utility and Highways England works have completed, money secured in 2025 will resurface the Glanty area at night in June.
We’re continuing to push for further schemes across Egham. Egham Hill and the Egham Bypass remain in an appalling state, and we will campaign to get a full resurface there — just as we’ve delivered elsewhere — to make sure Egham isn’t deprioritised in the new West Surrey Council.
